Our Commitment to the Environment

- Refuge LPO Label - National Bird Sanctuary. In close collaboration with the Ligue Protectrice des oiseaux (bird protection league), La Grée des Landes has committed to protecting and promoting its natural heritage through multi-year initiatives.

- Some dead trees have been left to serve as a refuge, nest or "pantry" for animals and insects.

 - The quest for neutrality. La Grée des Landes has adopted strict measures with regard to energy consumption, transportation of people and products, materials consumed and food services. The goal is to minimize its impact on climate change and to become as "carbon neutral" as possible.

 - The ecological equation: 1 stay = 1 tree

La Grée des Landes is associated with the "Plant for the Planet" initiative launched in 2007 by the United Nations Environment Programme. La Grée des Landes is contributing to this initiative by funding the planting of one tree for each Eco-Spa Hotel stay.

 Our Commitment to People

- All hotel employees have been given a training course to raise their awareness of environmentally friendly behaviours, such as carpooling, sorting waste, etc. Each guest is also informed and invited to take an active approach towards preserving the environment in their daily lives.

 - Accessibility: The premises and equipment of La Grée des Landes are guaranteed accessible to individuals with physical, visual, hearing or mental disabilities, ensuring that the special needs of the disabled are met.

 - La Grée des Landes helps create jobs in the region and improve the local economy.
