La Grée des Landes was designed with common sense and technology in mind. This ensures that comfort goes hand in hand with energy conservation. A European Ecolabel-certified site, La Grée des Landes is committed to respecting the environment sustainably.

  - All 29 rooms have green roofs : in the summer, these roofs protect the rooms from the direct rays of the sun; in the winter, they reduce heat loss. For even greater thermal insulation, all the rooms are also equipped with double-pane windows.

- Southwest facing windows optimized natural light. Once the sun has gone down, light is provided through the judicious use of low-consumption lighting.

- 35 m2 of thermal solar panels pre-heat the hot water.

- A heat pump dehumidifies the spa and reduces its energy needs.

La Grée des Landes has rethought the way it consumes water. Many solutions have been implemented to decrease water consumption on the premises every day and at all levels.

- Faucets and plumbing fixtures are equipped with thermostatic mixing valves for immediate water pressure and temperature control, which helps reduce water consumption.

- The used water from the spa's relaxation pool is de-chlorinated with a natural water filtration system and then re-used to flush the toilets in the rooms.

- Reclaiming rainwater. We recover rainwater from the roofs, store it in a reservoir, and then use it to water our gardens and wash the outdoor patios. This saves 85,000 litres of water each year.
